Get your business on Google in about 5 minutes. No tech experience needed.
Why this matters: When homeowners search for your service (e.g., "roofer near me"), Google only shows your business if you have a profile. More reviews on that profile means higher placement in search results, which means more calls. CrewSignal sends review requests automatically — but you need a profile first for those reviews to actually show up.
On your phone or computer, go to google.com/business and click "Manage my business" (or "Create a business" if you don't have one yet).
Sign in with your personal Google account (Gmail, or create one if you don't have it).
Business name: What you want to appear on Google (e.g., "Mike's Roofing").
Category: Pick the one that matches you (e.g., "Roofing Contractor" or "Hair Salon").
Service area: The city or cities where you work.
Phone number: Your business line — can be your personal cell.
Website (optional): Leave blank if you don't have one. You can add it later.
Phone verification is fastest: click the phone icon, Google calls your number with a code, you enter it. Done in 30 seconds.
(Mail verification takes 1–2 weeks — skip it unless phone doesn't work for you.)
After verification, find the "Reviews" section on the left side of your profile.
Click the three dots (...) next to it and select "Get reviews link" (or "Share your profile"). Copy that link.
In your CrewSignal onboarding email, paste the link you copied into the "Google Review Link" field.
Your profile is live. The next time you complete a job and mark it done, CrewSignal sends your customer a text with your review link.
Stuck? Most of this is just following Google's prompts. Still confused? Email hello@getcrewsignal.com and we'll walk you through it.
